american bass

ok so today i ordered a american bass sq 900.2 and im looking for opinions. I got it for what seems like the price that the sites i looked at all had it for which was $150+s/h only i got free shipping. but is this a good quality amp does it do rated heres the site and specs on it.

From my experience with AB and the rep they have. yes it will do rated. Prolly more honestly. But I would've spent less and got an Audiopipe AP-3002 and 640x1@4, 320x2@2, and 160x2@4. So yes, it will do rated and it'll treat you well, but your money could've been spent more wisely.

*why do people do this? I haven't been on this site long enough to see many cases of it, but other forums im on its all the time. "Hey guys, is this a good/or sub? I just ordered it and wanted to get some feedback". Why wouldn't you ask us first? Like what would you do if we all came on here and tld you made a very poor decision and the amp will not do rated or be durable?

It is a pretty good amp. I wouldn't doubt it does rated or more.
I'm prolly a little bias though.

and to etorres, alot of times, in my opinion anyway, people make those threads to kind of show off what they're getting. Like they already know it's good but want other people to compliment them on their purchace. I would hope anyway, that people would research a product that they are gonna buy before actually purchacing it.

Yeh now that I think about it, it usually is decent equipment. Rarely does someone say, "hey guys just picked up 2 18" Lanzars and 2K watts peak pyle amp" lol. So good observation there.

also wondering if this amp will do 2 ohms bridged it says nothing about it on the site but the place i bought it from said it would do it no prob does anyone know.

...why would you want to run this at 2 ohms bridged in the first place?

where did you buy it from? alot of places like to tell noobs that the equipment will do something just to get your cash

...ok so why didnt you just buy a class D amp thats stable down to 1 ohm. using a a/b amp for subs is not a great idea, even at that lower power.

i bought it from a family friends shop i bought this amp b/c i have stock electrical and he had no amps in my price range that would drop to 1 ohm. I only had $120 to spend plus an xbox 360 for trade and he was willing to pay me $75 for the xbox so i could get the amp and a good battery as mine has a dead cell. It was in the catalog that it ran at 2 ohms but did not specify if it could do it bridged i asked him and he said he honesty thought it would but was not 100 percent sure so my other option was a crunch 1100.2 and I've herd more good things about American bass than crunch so i made a decision on the American bass.

For 2 SVC4ohm subs, you wan't to wire @ 2 ohms. Either way, mono amp was the was to go.

Id run it if you pop it he should have to warrenty it for you since he dosent know his product

an experienced audio shop should have never made that sale, thats what bestbuy would do. I would look for a shop that will have more knowlege and sale you product that is compatible with what you are using it for.
