Default s10 blazer build

I pulled almost everything out of my blazer the other day. Just left in the CD player and dash speakers. going to take it in and get new brake lines put on.
here is most of the stuff i pulled out

For right now im keeping the subs but building a new box. going to do the big 3 with that 4 gauge. keeping the rca's pulling. got a new head unit. Using JL audio 2 gauge for my amp wire for the moment....planning on getting some 0 gauge and better performance RCA's a second battery and a HO alt

Here is what will be going in

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...20audio/35.jpg

Distribution block

thats just a rough idea. If i get lucky I might actually start on the box build tomorrow.

Looks like some nice gear. Was going to pick up an 88 s10 Blazer 4.3 Vortec 2 door w/ income tax, but got offered a 92 full size Blazer (basically the first 2 door Tahoe) for my 03 Mazda Protege. Prolly going to do it, been wantin more room for a bigger system without walling. Lookin at 2 AP TXXAPX15BL's in 9^3 @ 30Hz off my AP18001D. If I break a 145 on music, I'll be happy , for now. Look forward to this build. Tuned in.

Default Re: s10 blazer build

The full size and the s10 Blazers where all good lookin vehicles. I had an 88 Cavalier Z24 with the 2.8 V6. Loved the car. Had some ass to it. I've just always been into late 80's early 90's Chevy vehicle. I'm an 80's baby, what can I say?

This is the truck he wants to trade me:

Only thing wrong with it is a crack in the winshield. Comes with a + run of 4/0 welding cable from front to back and two 235ah LifeLine batts. Has a 38 cube 2x4 reinforced unused shell in it that has to be torn out for now cause I have kids. Oh what could have been...

Ok enough thread jacking back to your build.

That is EXACTLY what I wanted to get until this guy offered me the Blazer, lol. Good lookin truck 4 sho. Mine is a 4x4 w/ 6 lug rims, I was gonna drop the s10 on 20/22's but I think the 4x4 needs to go up. Thinkin some 35" off roads on some beefy XD type 18's ought to do the trick. I ain't even got the damn thing yet and I already have it all planed out, lol.

Yeah kids. This will be the family vehicle till we can afford a minivan for the ol lady. Most likely will duplicate shell sometime next year w/ like a 4 15 4th order wall. Low budget, AP TXXAPX15's and 2 AP18001D's strapped at 2 ohms. Love the AP products.

Alright, I wont be starting my box today. If anything I am going to work on my shed insulating some of it to make it easier to heat so I have a place to glue and paint the box.

Ok so like I said im going to get a room inside my shed more weather tight so my shed is more easy to heat....a place to glue and paint my sub box.

here are some pictures before i started anything.

then i got almost everything out of there. everything but the center part of the entertainment center and the couch......the room was build around the couch. theres no way to get the couch out without a sawzall. Then I put in used insulation on the 1 wall, covered it in plastic then got 1 sheet of paneling hung.....remember the insulation and paneling is used.

hopefully will get it almost all done tomorrow.
