Default Memphis 6.5 Vs MB Quartz 6.5

Do you guys have any suggestions to what would be a better set up? I'm looking to buy 6.5 component for the front doors on a 2001 suburban and coaxial for the rear doors. Memphis M class vs MB Quartz

One option is Zapco. I have first hand experience with that specific product line and can attest to the quality of the product. I also use Memphis and would not be affraid to use either.

I would run the I-4100 amp, a set of their ZCL165 components, and their ZCX165 coax's and still have money to spare.

The amp is VERY underrated. I used one to run a sub and some Iforce components and it never gave me a problem.

Their high end stuff is phenominal. I'm not as impressed with their lower end stuff for the money.

I don't know what Memphis speakers sound like but i've got some MB Quart 6.5" components (DUA 216). Build quality is good, I find the mid bass is punchy, mid range is nothing special and titanium tweeters perhaps a tiny bit bright but not ear piercing.

Honestly, I felt they were flat/hollow sounding. But that is there low end components. But for the same amount of money, you could get a set of Mclass components that are GREAT sounding for the money. A little bit more money, you could get a set of Image Dynamics CXS series components.

I suggest you go to different shops and test listen to as many different brands as you can. If everyone agreed on one brand then I would only stock one model of components. Everyone has their own taste, also spend some of your budget on dynamat and install.
