Alright have a friend here who has 400 he wants to spend on a set of compenent speakers. We went to a couple audio shops here and looked at some of the hertz hi energy's, some JL c3's and 5's, and the alpine type r components. I mentioned to him mb quart's and a couple others, he wants a mix of sound quality and loudness, and run a 2 channel amp later, but not right away.. he has 2 l7's and a 1500 amp and a 1 farad rockford capacitor... i am trying to get him to send away his capacitor and put it towards something more Power effective, and i think i might have just convinced him but we'll see.. any way.. good speakers for the 400 price range?
Ive posted this vid on here on multiple threads. And one thing i will say, if you have the room for the woofer depth, these are hard to beat for the price. And im putting a fair amount of power to them (about 250watts)
diamond hex or anything hertz or cdt or hybrid audio in that range
avoid jl, very expensive, type rs wont hold their own against any of those listed.
you really need a 2 channel though if you hopes of keeping up with those l7s...hu power on those speakers wont do much
Recommendations for speakers that go well with the l7s?
The Jl c3's the guy at 406 motoring said hed give him for 350.
I'll look at some of those other ones.
Whats a good 2 channel? i heard the brutus 2 chan isnt bad
anything listed goes well, including the re's wes listed. the l7s are loud, so youll need power to keep up with them. the 20w from the radio arent going to cut it.
any 2 channel that does 100+ per channel should be good. hifonics is prolly the cheapest option, if you want more sq, diamond, arc audio, sundown, etc would be excellent options also.

just looked em up on ebay, 280 for a set isnt bad at all
you just had to go 3 way didnt ya. i was trying to keep this simple
yeah sorry forget to mention he wants go three way... me you and him.. just kiddin.. any way those first rainbows look nice and thats not a bad price at all.
if you want to take on the additional work, that is almost definitely my recommendation. other than that, a rgular 6.5 comp set from the brands above, or rainbow, which i forgot about, will do.

Thanks yo.
We listened to some hertz mlk's i think they were today and omg do they sound amazing but no way would i ever spend 1200 on a pair a speakers. well. I guess i should say could i ever..
They are also 2ohm comps to boot so you'll get gobs of power from your amp if capable.
i wish you could hear these in my car. I replaced ESB made Zapco comps with these and i have absolutely no complaints. And the Zapcos were f****ing awesome as well but i kept blowing woofers.
Something is very wrong with that lol. They better be friggen made with 30% gold to justify that price
