mlk3 pa

I recently purchased a pair of hertz mille 3 way components, the mlk3 pa I only have a 2 channel amp for my in cars a bmf 300.2 I was wondering if there was a way to hook this set up with only a 2 channel. the crossover is only for the mid and high. I have done an active setup in the past but in my current vehicle I don't really have the room for another amp and I really don't want to spend the money on a 4 channel amp. I was wondering what would happen if I ran the amp to both the mid-bass driver and the crossover, the bmf 300.2 is 2 ohm stable, so the impedance load shouldn't be a problem. any input or personal experience would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Am I missing something in that the xover has 1 input and only 2 outputs, one for the mid and one for the tweet and none for the bass?

seems strange.....didn't find any wiring info to see

MLK 3 PA is a complete three-way system for sublime performance, dedicated to the most demanding listeners who expect an audio system that can reproduce every detail. Thanks to the mixed Active+Passive (MLCX 2 TM) technology and to the dedicated amplifier channels for woofers and midrange/tweeter components respectively, the MLK 3 PA system provides highly impressive and sophisticated acoustic results.
Size Woofer 165 mm - 6.5 in, Midrange 70 mm - 2.8 in, Tweeter 28 mm - 1.1 in
Peak 300W
Continuous Program 150W
Impedance 4 Ω
Frequency Response 40 Hz - 25 kHz
Sensitivity 93 dB/SPL
Crossover MLCX 2 TM
Tweeter ML 280
Midrange ML 700
Woofer ML 1600
i don't know what the final load would be but you could hook up the woofer to the same side as the inputs and set the amp to pass all but there is no filter on the woofer, then hook up the tweets and mids to the x-over.......after looking at the specs it appears it should be a 4Ω load

Re: mlk3 pa

I would ditch the passive and go active... After running active I will never go back to power robbing passive xovers....
