Default Bravox EDX-D2 box design.. beefy speaker

Impulse buy on one of these and i'm looking for it to replace 2 memphis mojos. Hot looking Speaker for a company thats less mainstream than even some of the brands on here. No idea what to do with it.. the specs call for .7 in a sealed box and 1.3 in a ported which cant be right even before calculating the displacement. Stuck it in a failed mojo box which came out to 3 cubes tuned to 35 and am tinkering with it until i find someone to help me Build something nice for it. I'm from west palm if theres anyone within 100 miles able to teach me. Any input is very appreciated though.. Anyway on with the speaker info: 12"

Only picture is on my phone so i took it off the website. I'm going to work now and ill bring the computer so i can try and post up the speaker and temporary box. I'm in love with the looks, and so far, with whatever power i can feed them, they sound incredibly clean. At the moment i have 2 MTX 81001 i'm looking to sell.. each one gives about 1900 rms according to the birthsheet. I have it strapped to 4 ohms at the moment but to play with it, when i first threw the box in, i dropped it to 1 ohm (dual 2 ohm speaker) and it was just as painful as my 2 memphis mojos wired to 2 ohms. Similarly priced speaker, and to me, the bravox is 100% more clear. Anyone else played with this line before? btw, quick replys considering i posted and jumped in the shower. Thanks.. ps.. looking for more than one box.. one for everyday and one for competition only, and from viewing some hot designs ive never seen anything close to, i'm leaning towards fisher customs.. unless someone local can Build something anywhere on that level

the bravox EDX line are BADASS. Way overlooked, for both SPl and a SQL woofer, but not cheap I had 1 EDX 12 in 3.5@40hz. works killer And they will take ALOt of power for burps and daily. Just becuase its tuned at 40 it will still hit the Lows fine, due to a mean suspension/motor

So in the box its in, which is tuned to 35 i believe, could it handle being taken down to 30 or is 35 the lowest this speaker can handle? I'm not too good at reading the specs, but i'm not sure what the Fo is, if its the Fs or what. I just drove it to work and it sounds so nice in the back seat, i just use the passenger seat to hold it aiming downward to get a nice hit on the lows. Pics to come later

you really don't need to tune a SPl made speaker for 30. The way its buil you'll be fine tuned to 40 or 35. it will still kill the lows.. look at dd's they tune to 40 and still hit the lows.. All about suspension/motor force..

I'm looking for one daily box and one box for comps with a higher tuning. But i think your right, my box sounds tuned to 40 and it hits slightly softer at 35. I absolutely love the sound quality, but i'm comparing it to a mojo which isnt giving it too much credit. Once i get a box custom built for this beast, i have a feeling i'll be very happy with the single 12.
