Ideal sub and port firing direction in an extra cab truck?
I'm about to build a vented enclosure for my 2000 F150 extra cab for a pair of Audioque 12s. They will be on the floor against the back of the cab where the rear seat was. I have been planning on firing them forward since i tried some 10s briefly and they sounded great forward.
However I am out of the game for many years now and i feel It would be best to ask those who are IN the game I'd appreciate some opinions.
Which direction should I be firing my vented 12s in my F150 and why? '
Re: Ideal sub and port firing direction in an extra cab truck?
So Im wondering if facing them backwards will give the loading effect like a car does or if Id be sitting to close to notice the difference in sound.
Also wondering if downfiring would give the same loading effect and/or if it would sound a bit more muddy or have less output than the other orientations?

I guess i'll have to put a test box in there again and see how each direction sounds at the drivers seat.
I'm still curious if backwards/down gives an emphasis on lows in a truck cab like it has in my cars. Always sounded loudest and cleanest backwards too, for me atleast.
