Default SQ build.

Well its come to that time where I'm starting to think of doing a serious Sq build, in my truck. I allready have great sounding bass, but the rest really needs a upgrade. I was thinking of doing a 1 space flip out 7" Jensen screen, under that a Clarion EQS746, that running into a Crunch GP880.4, powering 2 pair of Hifonics ZXi 6.2C.

Please comment, I need some suggestions.

Nothing you've mentioned will hold up to a true "SQ" build.

i'll second that. trying looking for some nakamichi or macintosh or some other higer end quality stuff. true sq isn't cheap, well then again true spl isn't either. you might want to evaluate on what you think of as far as sq and what you really want.

Yeah, what he said.^ I'm doing a Sq oriented install in my wifes eclipse. Its getting two sets of Boston Pro 60's and the sub is going to be one 10" Alpine type x, ran by some old Xtant amps I have alying around. Not sure of the processor or head unit yet. That leans a liitle more twards SQ.

i like to consider my setup a SQL but no where near a Tru sq set up. U need some Focal utopia or some rainbow components and some really high end amps if you want a sq build.

Well to start off, I'm only 16, so I don't have a hudge fund to pay for this, but I wanted to make a decent sounding system, the stock system is extremly bright, and I can't eq it down enough for my liking with the internal eq. I mean I don't expect it to sound like my studio, but I just want it to be somewhat true, and flat. I think most of you think I'm just a stupid 16 year old, but I'm really serious about this, I'm really trying to get more into Car audio.

Never thought you were stupid, I just know that you had no clue what a true SQ Build really was.

Just like 99% of the people I build boxes for that say they want pure SPL, until I tell them they can't play their rap on it because it'll be tuned to high.

You want a nice sounding daily driving setup.

I have an idea (I'm an audio engineer) but I really have zero experience in car audio. I mean, I'm trying to do the best job I can with the amount of money I'm working with.
I was just thinking what if I used drivers out of some monitors, I have a connect where I can get samson resolv65 drivers for a good price, but how do you think they'll sound in a door.
