Default Advice on subwoofer brands......

I have had some experience with Car audio but it is limited. I had 2 Alpine Type R (older model rated at 300rms), these were replaced by the 1 12" MTX (9500, this was sold due to car repairs).

I have kept the amp as didnt have the heart to sell it, Vibe Space Blackbox 5.

I am now rebuilding the ICE in my car but am strapped for cash for now and may change the Build but for now i need advice on which subs would be the best for SPL.

I have come across 2 RE Audio RE12D4, 2 JBL GTO1202D, 2 JL Audio 12W0-4 and 2 Clarions SW3012. I was given an option for a single Alphasonik Alpha 800 PSW812 but i wasnt impressed with the design and havent heard what they're like.

This will start off with being enclosed in a sealed box, once they have been embedded in and funds are available i will them put them in a slot ported box which i will again require advice.

Any recommendations?

Is the electrical upgraded?..and what vehicle?....I'd steer clear of the recipient audio there quality has gone downhill alot...the jbl subs are OK the jl are OK and the clarion aren't that great.....but honestly that amp will do around 1500rms @2 ohm and 1350@1 ohm...provided you have the electrical to run it....and I'd look at sundown audio or psi car audio

I currently own a small Seat Ibiza 1.2ltr, the alternator only puts out 90amp. The next one available would be 120amp but would be for a engine size 1.6 onwards. The power the amp would give is probably around 50-60% on the 12v.

Turning to Sundown, there are problems for us in the UK. First there arent many dealers. Secondly they have a hefty price tag. I will be gathering funds but i need something for the time being.

Any recommendations, my budget is around 80.00 ($124.18 US Dollars).

Here are the links which may assist.

You never want to starve a amp...you need to do the big 3 and see if the 160 amp at is a direct bolt in and get a stock size agm battery up front and maybe e one in back...as far as subs I'd look for a much more substantial sub...all the ones listed are bottom of the barrell....and will probably end up blowing on as much power as you have on tap

do some research on that alternator.....and that battery wont really make a diffrence....1500rms will pull upwards of 150 amps.....

Ive done some research and have come across an Alternator Regulator which comes in from 70 to 180 amp. Can i use this as opposing to changing the alternator as im having a hard time finding a supplier that will sell a high output alternator for my vehicle.

That is just a regulatar it won't effect the output of your alternator
