How do I use the network mode for my DEH-P8650MP? I got one recently.
Here's What I have:
2-4Ch. Amps
1-Mono Amp
4 - tweeters
4 - Midbass
2 - Subs
The subs I dont have a problem, the thing is my HU has 6 preouts, FL, FR, RL, RR, SUBSx2, where do I wire which? My 4-ch amps have 2 midbass and 2 tweets in it and when I connect that to the FL and FR RCA, it's HPF is way too high for my mids, should I have 1 of my 4-ch's power just the tweets and the other just the mids? I'm confused.
Thanks!
I'm assuming you've got two sets of speakers in the front and two sets of speakers in the rear of the vehicle, plus a sub?
If so I would use one 4 channel amp for the front speakers (1 set of mids and tweets) and one 4 channel amp for the rear speakers. This way you can uniformly adjust the gains for the front or rear separately. If the 4 channel amps don't have an RCA out on them you'll need RCA y-adaptors to wire up both amps.
When it's all wired up nicely, turn the gains way way down and set the little switch on the side of the head deck to 3-way (NM) and then hit the reset button on the front with a paper clip to engage active mode. This will give you your proper crossover points for your mids and highs.
The subwoofer just goes on the sub amp, to the sub channel of the deck.
As for the wiring from the deck, besides "FL, FR, RL, RR, SUBSx2" there should also be written "TWEETERS/HIGHS" and "MIDS" on either the FL/FR or RL/RR. This is for 3-way Network Mode.
Feed the highs into a channel on the front amp, and the mids into the remaining channel of that amp, then daisy chain the front amp to the rear amp.
