hi there im a newby on here
i want to put some bass in my Car bmw540 e39
i have collected so far gzpw15xq 4 x1 ohm sub
massive audio d400x Amp being fed 8 volts from head 200 altinator twin batterys 0 cable for everything big three done the system is for street use not comp question is what size box do you guys think ? thanks in advance

I can't say exactly what size box you should do because I'm not so sure what you want. Do you want ported or sealed? Also, I hope the 4 liters of box volume is a typo because that isn't going to happen. Ground Zero recommends 40-70 liters for a sealed box and 80 liters for a ported box.

yes they do normaly most of mine has been cut out and bracing fitted

Use all the space you can afford to give up. Port and sub facing the same way, pointing back if there is some decent amount of room around the enclosure for the wave to pass by. If not, face it forward and seal it off from the trunk.
GZ says 2.1cuft net for the sub but that seems awfully low. If you have 4cuft to use, after all displacements you'll probably end up with about 2.7cuft net using 17sqin/cuft port area tuning to 32hz.
