Doomsday74 is in the red - Must have upset some poeple...
Default Two different tuned boxes?

I was wondering if there would be any problems with having 1 box tuned to 40 hz for punch and another box tuned to 30 hz for low bass?

it should be fine...tho you might have cancelation issues if not setup propperlly....and of course dont expect the sub to sound the same and dont forget to set the lpf and subsonic acordinglly with the box tune...set subsonic 5hz below box tuning at each amp

cancellation issues is what I was worried about, I had two sealed and two ported but read that was a big no no, so I thought ported with different tunings would be ok, I miss the punch bass from the sealed but like the lows of the ported.

89astrovan is still in the green - This is good
Default Re: Two different tuned boxes?

Do a 1:1 or 2:1 bandpass box. A best of both worlds comprise.transient delay is not as good as a sealed box, but much better than a ported.
