Default Worst piece of audio equipment ever used

I know alot of you guys have horror stories about that amp, sub, or cd player that just wasnt worth a f*** whether it was a name brand or not. For me it was this rockford fosgate (single din) cd player that i bought back in like 02'. The sound quality was terrible, there was hardly any tunability and to top it off the preout voltage was under a 2. I changed to it from an entry level alpine that i had gotten at circuit city and the alpine sounded wayyyyy better. from the first second i knew i was f*****. lol

Mine would have to be a Profile 500 watt D mono that I fried on a 2 ohm load in my wifes car only running a Lightning Audio Strike VC2, it was horrible, and it only put out like a true 125 watts on a 4 ohm load

a 'custom autosound' retro looking TAPE player for my 69. Worked for about a year, then the tape flap broke, then another part broke and now its on my printer cause theres no other place that it could work better. Except the trash but for the price I paid I cant just throw it away

Mine was two pairs of Diamond 5x7 coaxials. I had heard diamond made some good equipment, so when I found a deal on these coaxials (temporary speakers till I got some good components) I put em in and they sounded like crap. the factory one sounded better and were alot louder. I figured that they probably just need some power to sound good. Put a JL Audio 500/5 to power em. Still sounded like crap. I have not been this unhappy with any other purchase to date. And I have been in car audio since the early 80's. I can understand a company having a cheap line of speakers, but if they are going to put there name on it. They should make sure its decent.

My worst POS deck was a 2 shaft Sparkomatic cassette deck. That and a pair of Sparkomatic 6X9's. That thing ate more tapes than any 10 decks combined. It put out a whopping 6w per channel. I remember upgrading to a Sanyo high power deck (12WPC FTW!) and some Pioneer 6X9's and a pair of Pioneer enclosed mini speakers with 4" woofers, passive radiators and cone tweeters and being a stone pimp.

a dual headunit that everyone at school said they had and was the ****( it was free to me so i figured why not try it).. pulling out of the gas station the volume knob decided to stop working and i punch it a few times.. got it home.. RIPPED it out and smashed it on the ground about 10 times.. then took a sledge to it.. i got pics somewhere( hopefully not on the phone i returned)

this ultra linear amp really hasnt been THAT bad but 2 of the channels stopped working about an hour after i put it in

KnuKonceptz RCAs. (model Karma SS) Two sets broke out of the 3 I bought by casually plugging in and unplugging to the amp. Never had a problem with any other RCA cables ever.

Oh, and KnuKonceptz battery terminals. The bolt gets stripped and they are useless...

I am, however, very happy with my KnuKonceptz 0 gauge 12g and 16g, and KnuKonceptz 200amp alt.

I'll buy wire from them again, but no cables or connector doodads.

Other than that, never had any regretted purchases!
