Default American Bass XFL 12 or 15's?

Building a budget system for a buddy.... Has anyone heard the differance between the 12 and 15? Is the 15's worth the extra space they require? Most of my experience has been that is usually the bigger subs are not worth the room you lose. But it is going in an Impala which has decent room. Any thoughts?

in my previous experience with other types of subwoofer the difference can be quite noticable between the 2 different sizes. It does depend on the enclosure design though.
