I recently blew up my 12 inch alpine x type...Seeing im laidoff from work for a while i cant buy anything, However my buddy just gave me 2- 12 inch mtx tc512s the ones you can buy at futureshop there like red chrome almost. i realize there cheap crap but they were free. So there both single 4 ohm subs so if i wire them down to 2 ohm there both 300rms probably over rated but...Im powering them with the alpine mrd m1005. So what should my settings be, there both in sealed seaprate boxes because thats all i have laying around.

subsonic on? or off?

Im going to set the gain using the test note and muti meeter

Also how can i test my rcas to see which is red and black, the marker on them dissapeared and id rather not pull them out to see. thanks.

So using the test note and muti meter i have the gain set at 1.5 vlts (digital amp) and its at 30 ac voltage....If i bump it down to the next setting 1.0 vlts im sitting at 42 and it says for 600 rms at 2 ohms you want 34.6 max so 30 is good then? Also the bass boost is at 0 should i go up on that or no it goes to +16 db
