Default Wire questions (knu)

In a week or so I'll be installing my component amp and speakers and I had some questions about Power wire and rcas. Is 5 meters typically long enough to reach to the trunk of a sedan Car or should I look for longer rcas through a different brand? Also, I'm going to replace all of the 8 gauge in my car with 4 or preferably 0/1 and then reuse the 8 gauge for my component amp as it won't be pushing all that much power right now. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'll be getting rid of my capacitor and getting one battery in the trunk later on in the year as I'm on a very strict budget right now. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks guys. I have yet to do the big three so that's high on my list as well. I'm not sure if I need to change the fuses out for higher amperage fuses when I replace the wire from my alternator the the fusebox (if I even have to). Anyhow, there's plenty of time to figure that out whilst I wait for supplies. Thanks again.

I have the Kolossus kit and its awesome....I've compared it to Memphis, JL, Kicker Hyperflex, Tsunami, Stinger, and some other brands (I dunno, compared because I have a big box of scrap wire from a shop) and the Knu has more wire (cross sectional area) than all of the others
