Default Well, seems like deka it is.

Im going to need the extra juice here(2nd btl coming in) therefore 1-2 more batteries need to be purchased. Id prefer to stick with kinetik but $250-300 for a hc2400 isnt cutting the mustard for me when the Deka Inti 9A31 is at like 180ish(assuming 10% discount) shipped to my door step. My only question is, am i sacrificing that much extra Power by changing to deka instead of running with kinetiks? Looking at the specs -700cca and -26ah difference but does it all really make much of a difference. Many speak good in this forum about deka, even claiming difference is performance over kinetiks and such.

Whats the truth?

The Power master is even more expensive than the kinetiks!

Deka is the way to go, better performance and Build quality over the kinetiks and for much less. hmmm would i reather have a kinetik which is mass produced in china or would i rather have a TRUE AGM battery made right in Pennsylvania in the USA... DEKA FTMFW

If i had to run anything other than deka, which with my experience with them i wont run anything else now but if i was to go with a different battery it would be a powermaster D3100

IMOP Deka & powermaster > Kinetik

Well Kinetik is descent and all, they are pretty relentless, but the price is just a kick in the nutz right now, especially with shipping fees ontop of that ....I paid $220 for a older model hc2400(shipped) now thats looking like itll cost me $250 plus now, or if i wanna pay $220 for one that someone beat the piss out of.

Its like christ if i go any route but the right one the price of my batteries alone will equal that off the rest of my system....

kinetik is a true agm (means that the electrolyte is suspended in a mat) and from a few guys experiences i have seen even in street max 3-4 type car kinetiks were a few tenths louder than deka. 153.* to a 154.3 with 2 group 31 batteries 8000 watts on 4 subs. That was 2+ year old 2400's vs 2 deka g31's that were showing decline within the first year. Also just to put it in another prospective I have seen first hand several different batteries out perform each other in battery swap tests. I have seen a 2400 at 2005 USACI world finals post .2 db higher score over an optima g31 and .3 over odyssey 2150 in the same car. Caused him/her to move up a spot (top 3) at finals. Then I have turned right around and seen others switch between optima , kinetik and odyssey and get a totally different result (eachone beating out the other). There are MANY variables that all play a role in the result. From actual system draw, the wiring set up in the system to the condition and care of the batteries being used.

If you went purely on specs since 1999 and took 5 second burst current like PHCA and Short Circuit current into account then the odyssey 2150 would/should have been dominant in every street class every where. They state it can do 2150 amps for 5 seconds and 5000 amps SC. I have seen these out burp others and get out burped by optima, kinetik and even an odyssey 1700 in the same system.

Thing is with these "specs" alot of them are timed 30 seconds down to 7.2 volts on the battery with no reguard how long they stay above 10 volts or even 9 just down to 7.2. Put those 5 second "burst" numbers to the test at 10v * 2150 amps = 21,500 watts or 9v*2150 amps= 19350 watts.... if they did this on audio systems multi cells wouldnt have ever been needed and you could nearly burp 100k watts on 5 batteries lol.

Interesting.
Friends have done head-to-head tests in the street classes between the 2400, NSB90 and 2150 and in every single case the the Kinetik came in last place on the TL (several tenths back from the other 2).
Guess it all depends on the setup.

I would have to agree with you savage, it does depend on the setup too. From what i have seen people have actually gained from swaping out their kinetik 2400 for a Deka 9A31... but as you said before it depends on the setup i guess and what is trying to be achieved with it.
