Im waiting for my Audiopipe 3000 to come in. I've been told that it is a 2 ohm stable amp bridged, and i will be running it at 2 ohms, (dual 4 9512G). My truck already has 0 gauge wire, but that's it. I dont plan to play my system at full tilt, nor do I plan to compete, just a loud daily setup.
Electrical is stock. Alternator will stay stock for now, I dont have money right now.
Found a guy asking $275 obo on craigslist for a kinetik 2400, and a bunch of red and yellowtops going for about $100. Could I get away with running one kinetik 2400 under hood for a little while? Also thinking about getting the Red Top for under hood, and the kinetik for out back?
After my experience with Optima, I wouldn't go with either the red or yellow top. Mine somehow melted a hole on the bottom positive side of the battery.
Like johncon mentioned, I would get the 2400 and do the big 3.
Your stock alternator may handle everything for a while, but you'll shorten the life of it quite a bit. Do all the upgrades on electrical that you can afford right now and save for a decent h.o. alternator. It'll save you a lot of headaches down the road.
