I've been collecting pics and reviews of Wire and install gear and trying to get the guys over at DIYmobileaudio to add an Install Gear section. One of the conflicting things I keep coming across is about Audiopipe wire. I see a seller on here selling it as CCA. I see people say it's "garbage" and on the same note I hear people say it's great, OFC, and even that it's tinned copper. I've handled Audiopipe wire before, it was very finely stranded and felt like good stuff. Is it in fact CCA? Did they possibly change their wire at some point in the past?
I have left overs I can cut the end and take pics for you if you like... stuff is ok, but not OFC that I can tell.
Pics would be appreciated. I'm assuming Audiopipes wire have slid along with the rest of their offerings. I've done a couple installs with Audiopipe kits, always thought they were a good buy now I'm probably going to have to start looking for a different company. I know Knu is good, but it's hard for me to keep straght which is oFC and which is CCA.
Sorry for the quality, my cam sucks for up close, I may have to redo these with her D40.
Bunch of thin wires in small bundles:
Some ok flex:
And after scraping the wire with a razor, they look like a mix? Tin over some fine copper? I'll try to replace these pics with better ones. They have copper coloring on the inside and silver (alum or tin) over that, if that makes sense:

Yes it was back when I was in New Mexico lol, was going to wall my Saturn but had tranny issues and they went into storage until now. Hope to have them up and running in another month when I get my 12's.
Back on track lol... here's the rolls I bought. They even have 100' rolls of 0-ga for like $170/ea. I rewired my under hood basically with 25' rolls, one red and one silver and still have 6-8 feet of each left. I will be buying more again if I don't use welding cable instead to make my runs under the truck for my amps.
The red wire is OFC. The silver wire, if it's silver on the outside and copper in the middle it might be nickel plated or silver plated copper which is even better imo. Both are good wires. I've bought a few of the Audiopipe kits. Though the wiring was a little course, it was all OFC. But the RCA's were cheaply made.
