Default multiple low voltage batteries for car audio question

as i read a few posts in these threads, people have used multiple 2 volt agm batteries that had good discharge rates. can anyone link the cheapest ones that are still good quality? (i read about 200 per battery? thats kinda too much... anything cheaper)
and are there any that are 4 volt or 6 volt that are small, but work for Car audio? Im thinking i could place a battery bank by the spare tire in my scion tc.. if they are small enough.. im just trying to find things i can do for future projects when i get the money.

But before i get too far with this, i plan to upgrade my alt later, ( i have already done the big 3, with 0 gauge) would i even need anymore batteries if i had, say a yellow top as my starting battery and just that? (i do also have a shuriken bt80 hooked up to my regular starter battery now through an isolator( which ever one works only when the car is started. should i keep the shuriken if i get a better alternator and a yellow top?)

I would honestly not waste my time with 2 volt batteries instead of 12 volt. Just get a good name brand 12v. Why do you want to use 2 volt batteries?

Yes keep the shuriken.

well the 2 volts have like a great discharge rate i guess i was just wondering.
so you say even if i get a great alternator (possibly from you SINTORMAN, if you still do them, but later in the future) and a yellow top, i should still keep the shuriken? why, doesnt that just add a bigger load the the alternator? im just trying to understand... cause if i dont need it i could get a little more box space...

A fully charged battery only draws a couple amps from the alternator without a load. It is insignificant. Keep the shuriken. It will help voltage under peak draws from your amplifier. Alternators create power. Batteries store them. The more storage you have the better off you are.

And I personally would avoid the yellow top.

please elaborate, i do live in the north where it does get cold, so i do need a reliable starter battery. so what would you recommend as the best Car audio starting battery, the shuriken bt80 cant even start my car...

Either its wired wrong or dead. It has well over 1000 cranking amps iirc. That is a ton for just starting.

well i researched this for a long time, but i did buy it off ebay for a good deal, whether it is dead or not, it does stabilize voltage, after i put it in i think the subs done better... or maybe im wrong, but i took it to the battery store and they said it barely put out 325 cranking amps (i was there in person as they cca tested it).... thats after they tried to charge it and force charge it... so its probably dead, but it still works for car audio as a second battery right?
(and yes, it is reading above 12 volts when i use a multimeter...so idk why its not pushing the amps through)
some other forums had said they inquired shuriken's website and they said it wasnt meant to start vehicles, only for a secondary audio battery...

what is it reading exactly after it has been charged and has sat for a couple hours?

Also explain in detail how it is wired in the vehicle (what gauge of wire, fusing etc...)

It has 1900 cranking amps. Which even at a cold temp with CCA will still be a ton. Something is wrong with the battery or the install. I could start my vehicle off a skbt60 no sweat. I have seen some small cars use a bt20 for a starting battery lol.

something is defiantly wrong i use to use a kinetik 800 for a starting battery and never had a problem. most car audio batteries put out more cranking amps than a regular battery and should start a car better.

ok i will check it right now, i havent driven my car for about 13 hours :the Shuriken is reading 12.93 volts
Starter battery reads: 12.7 volts

ok how its wired up i have the big 3 done with 0 gauge, then i have 0 gauge running from the starter battery through a 100 amp fuse to the 80 amp isolator that separates into 2 wires, 1 of the 0 gauges from it goes to the shuriken, the other 0 gauge to the amp. I have tried starting my car with it and it barely even tries to turn over... so how could i have wired it wrong when i put it in place of the starting battery? im not that stupid, i put it in right and i couldnt get close to starting it, the first crank after a charge would sound as if it was close to starting but after the 1st it didnt have enough juice to even start turning it... my grounds seem to be good as the impedance is less than .02 ohms when i test the grounds a few feet away from each other, so thats good it seems.
(and i am not cranking the amp up into clipping, i keep it within electrical power supply that i have setup, i do need a better isolator to be able to turn it up louder..) I also do have an additional 6 gauge wire fused at (idk 20-60 amps) that i can also run to the isolator/battery as a secondary power wire....
(just to say, when i asked the store to test it, they said it wasnt taking a charge, meaning it didnt want to charge... i thought of draining it and then charging it again, but if it wasnt able to turn over my engine, then i think its dead enough, i have run my amp when the car is off and the isolator off so its just off the shuriken and it was able to do like 200 watts pretty well... i didnt want to turn it up louder but it worked for like 20 min fine like that, before i stopped.. didnt want to drain my battery)

Playing with the car off might have discharged it too far a couple of times. It is probably dead. I wouldn't run the isolator in the future either.
