they are ok as long as you dont hook it up to some subs to it... would Power some door speakers ok..those amps are old so you might want to look for something newer if you dont like old school....

Just because the jackhammer isn't real great, dosen't mean MTX sucks.

Just look at stratus' video, and score on a Term-Lab.....

You sir, are an idiot......

Both myself and Thunder9500 looked past the mtx stereotype when they came out with their 9500 series woofer, and we've both proved all critics wrong.

He has hit 144db with a pair of them on about half the Power they need in a box designed for SQ.

I have hit 146.2 with a single 12" 9500 in a box designed for SQL, and that is with a CD player that skips when we try to get above 144db. The gain is all the way down on my amp, and the non-fader output is set at -4 to help control the skipping. We'll see what it can really do shortly, when I get my CD changer and I can bump everything up to where it needs to be. I have my amp putting out 44volts AC, when it should be around 58 volts to put out the true 1500 watts.

Please know what you're talking about before you come on ROE posting straight B.S.

BTW: I don't see where you've posted any of the "garbage" that you own.

Merlin you have no knowledge about car audio products so stop pretending to. Leave these types of debates to those who actually have experience with MTX. MTX makes some very good product. There are many world record holders that use MTX product. And before you go dising the Jack Hammer you would probably listen to one first. You cant go talking crap about something you have never seen or heard and know nothing about...

Being called a newb by sayar thats funny!! Please MTX equipment is low quality mass produced rubbish at best. There are sooo many better products out there. RF, PG, RE, ID the list is endless!! I willing to bet that MTXThunder9500 hasn't even heard of half of them. And sayar go away your a little boy.

Seriously dude, show some proof to back up your claims. And calling people "little boys" is pretty lame.

ban him if he wants to keep this going, we dont come here to put down any product, we come here to discuss about the products and help one another not to degrade any one brand, judging by your comments you have nothing i would gladly put a 9500 hundred in my car n e day.

Research your product, MTX's amps are designed by the same guys who made the old RF amps back in the day of the punch 75 punch 150 power1000 etc..., and by the way MTX's new amps are pretty much XTANT amps with a different case, I would have them in my car if it was not for the price. MTX is an innovative company, and has produced great technoligy for the industry time and time again. A top notch brand in my opinion, with too high of a price, however, if I had to choose MTX, or the other brands you listed, MTX any day of the week.

Why are you such a stupid bastard who probably doesn't even have a system? When you can show some proof that whatever you have will outdo my MTX, then maybe someone will pay attention to your B.S. claim.

we defend our mtx product that we choose to use because its not second rate or a poor product.....i have 2 mtx 1000d amps that are 6 years old and they are still pounding to this day...., so they must be doing something right...and until you can prove me wrong (witch you cant and havent so far) than you can stop bashing people on here for using mtx products. because we dont want to hear it, what do you have in the trunk of your car? some jensen subs and a pyramid amp? does it makes you feel real good to come to a forum and bash other peoples stuff they have? are you jealous??? you must be.......
