Default Re: Birthsheets & Benchmarks

since this got bumped, mine isnt a birthsheet or a benchmark but i clamped my old style aq3500 putting out 2700wrms @ .95 ohms at 12.8 volts. it is the 3500 that is actually rated for 3500 not the new style that is rated for 4300

another thing i hate, on all my RF punch 25 to life amps, you have to put the gains nearly 3/4 the way up to get a difference in output of sound.

gains at 0 to nearly 3/4 (right before 3/4) is the same. on the kicker, you put it at 0, then 1/4, and it gets louder, 1/2, it gets louder....i have the kicker at 1/2, and its louder than the RF with gains at 3/4 (which is prally clipping at that point already, but you have no choise on the RF amps, you have to put them that high or its like having the gains at 0, which isnt loud at ALL)

im gonna call RF tomorow.

i want to bench the RF amps as well.
I just had this same experience with my RF P1000X1BD (clean setup) and my old ZX 750.1. The RF was rated at 884 watts at 2 ohms and the gain was not clipping with no bass boost and the output was weak. I had to turn on the bass boost on my radio and the bass to +3 to get some satisfying output. When I reconnected my Kicker ZX 750.1 the Power was too much with the gain at zero. I turned off the bass boost and turned the bass to -3 and the bass was perfect and hit at least 40% more than the RF.

thats fair but if your going to bump them one you should have a bench-test/birth sheet to share not just say "I like keeker"
