I agree. I just asked my dad and he said that his work uses 1/12, 1/10, or 1/8 depending on the which type of plywood theyre making.

well obviusly not literally paper thin. but its thin as ****. all im sayin is that the plywood used 2 make that box is porus as ****. i bet if you get a pic of the edge of that box you can see mad little air pockets in there. all im tryin 2 say. so dont bite my head off captain, who knows i might bite back...

oh and BTW its 13 ply

plywood with sub boxes the thing u need to watch for is the grain splittin apart with the vibration of the box, the box bows some the grain spreads more it spreads more it brakes apart weaker it becomes and it will end up just breaken apart, id rather use osb board rather then plywood cuz u get alot more varity in the wood sizes and grain pattern to help hold it together. particle board and mdf though the grain does not effect any because their is no grain to it.

are you comming on to me?

and you can see how porus the edges are but couldnt tell that it wasnt made out of MDF?

and 14 was a typo
plywood almost always uses odd numbered layers to keep it from flexing

thats only if you dont pre-drill a hole
the same thing will happen to any wood

just Build a proper box for it..
that one looks like there was no thought to it,
like a "lets try this" design
its obvious you have more room wherever that enclosure sits cause you need room for them
asses to stick out...

not compound loading. its chambered 4 ways

its 3/4 inch and its made out of 5 evenly cut smaller sheets of ply. extremely strong. i didnt get flex on my 1/2 thick ply box i used to run. the 2x2 frame kills all movement. the design was a lets try it, and it works excellent. vids coming as soon as i can find someone to help me get it out of my room and into my car. it weighs a ton

i still say Build an enclosure ported or what have you.there has to be cancellation if you have the asses sticking out the front and the rears firing to the rear,no where for the front waves to go and the rear waves are going to bounce off the waves from the front subs when there trying to find a place to go...just my opinion but you have more usable room to obtain more performance with just 2.you also say each sub is in its own sealed enclosure,is that correct??just trying to help you out, your leaving some pressure on the table...

i kno theres more to be desired. i have them firing opposite eachother and that seems to work good. i'll build a new box eventually, but for now this 1 is beasty. noone in my area has a close setup so im good.

compound loading in that specific circumstance is effectively making the box seem twice as large as it is to the subs, 2 times the motor strength firing in the same direction isnt something id ever use, but whatever.
