Well actually there is one model that a few people run that isn't supposed to be that bad, can't remember which one though.

Well i've got 2 power acoustik amps and in my opinion they do quite good . I'm running a power acoustik BAMF 2000D which actually pushes my SPLX quite well , and it doesn't even get warm to the touch at max levels.. as for the speakers amplifier i bought the cheapest one lol .

I've used several amps and well this one actually suits my needs. Pretty stable too..

Btw , i dunno if it does rated or not ..

if you are wanting a big bad amp to really push some nice subs, no not even the biggest pa amps are that good but if you are looking for a cheap amp to push small subs or speakers then yes they are ok, better than lanzar, pyle, boss, VR, so on and so on. I do sell PA when they cant afford andythign else, but yes the powerbass are not bad but are more pricey than the pa (except the optidrive i really dont even consider them lanzar )

All of powerbass amps put out rated power. I had a powerbass asa 1000 on a pair of kicker cvr 15's wired to one ohm and it beat them to death in just a few minutes. The cvr 15's are 500 rms each so the amp had to be putting out way over its rated power.

Power acoustic makes good amps it just that they dont do rated power. They probably put out half of what it says. Other than that they are good amps. Way better that crap like legacy, volfenhag and boss.

Im thinkin it may be the LFA series that aint bad.. I have a 1800w power series 2 channel.. it works okay. but is power hungry and doesnt do a whole lot with that power. seems to clip past 3/4 gain pretty bad.. but it works for $115. i worked at radioshack and got everything employee discount.

lmao. WOW.
Clipping an amp will blow a sub a lot faster at less power than just overpowering it.

You are right. I was watching these subs beat and by watching them I could tell that they were taking an serious ass whooping. They were try to destroy my car before they died. The bass was sick. No i was not clipping the amp and I didnt even have the amp the way up, Maybe at 3/4. The subwoofer level on the head set was not all the way up. The pb asa 1000 is strong ass little amp. Its way underrated.

having the amp on "3/4" doesnt mean you werent clipping them. you need to tune it the right way.

i have dropped a few of their amps below rated ohm load and never had a problem. seem to be tough lil amps for the money in my experience, but i would save up and look elsewhere
