Default 1000/1 jl audio amp??

i am tryin to understand bout the resistance ratings on the slash series 1000/1 amp it says u get the same amount of Power if u run it on 1 ohms or 4 ohms i am tryin to run 2 premeir 3004spl's which begs my next question if u run 2 subs in parallel does it split the power between the subs or is it 1000 watts to each

if you wire more than one sub to an amp, the Power output of the amp gets split up in half between the two. jl audio has digital technology or something, someone can chime in on this, that lets it output the same amount of power at 1/2/4 ohms.

Okay. Look at it this way. Disregard the amount of speakers. Pay attention the resultin Ohm load. The amp has no idea how many speakers there are. So if your ohm load ends up at say 1 ohm. 1000 rms at 1 ohm is 31.6 volts. So that's what you would be looking for. If you don't know what I'm talking about look for the "amp gain setting" sticky/thread.

Anyway. The amp puts out 1000 watts, period. Regardless of the amount of speakers, as long as the resulting ohm load is between 1 and 4 ohms.

he was also wondering about when he wires up his 2 subs, if the 1000w will get sent to each sub (2000w), which it will not. or if the 1000w will get split up to 500w on each sub, which it will.

the reason jl's amps put out the same at all ohms is because they are regulated
basically build an amp that puts out 1000 watts at 4ohm then limit it so it doesn't make more power at lower ohm levels I have no idea the reason for it but I think it's stupid to do
