+1 for the BRZ1200. Hasn't gotten hot yet, even with 100+ degree days. Very efficient.

As for 2 ga., I must have thick 4 ga. cause mine fits snug. I have 1/0 everywhere important.

My amp only accepted 4awg. But I wanted to use some 2awg welding wire I had, so I drilled out my holes. Fits perfectly now lol.

At the time I was using 2 awg diesle locomotive cable (dlo) lol it was a tiight fit. And I hated that wire.. A lot lol got it free tho

7kw should be pretty accurate...depends on what the efficiency is at .50 load..85% at 1 ohm so work from that to get a good idea

I love my brz1200d amp! Been raving about it on another forum about how it only gets warm at medium to loud volumes at 1.5 hours of constant use on my commute from work. It's been the best efficient amp I've owned. You can say bad things about hifonics, but for me, it's worth every penny.
