Default been a while- amp for components

Hey all. I use to post on here a LONG time ago it seems like (a good 4-5 years) and am not nearly as versed as I use to be in brands.

I am looking to upgrade my system in my 2000 a4.. Currently running a smorgasbord of stuff..

-Sub is a DD2515 on a MBquart "1200w" amp (forget the type) but newer under maxxsonics

-Speakers are mb quart.. qs upfront- random ones in the back.. it's a mess and sounds even worse.... those will all come out and be replaced with I don;t know what yet (would love to go dynaudio but can't afford that :P )

ANYWAY.. moving on.. I don't know the good cheap stuff anymore.. I am looking to do a bit of SQL to keep up with the 15 (hitting a 140.9 at a comp about a year ago).. and want some good punchy mids..

Been considering a single 6.5 or 8" center stage in a custom fiberglass enclosure just for the mids- this could mean a 5 channel amp..

looking to do around 125watts to the speakers and maybe like 300w to the mid... with pretty decent SQ for around $250-300 (not trying to go over that because I will be replacing speakers all the way around too)

Not sure EXACTLY how I want to run all this- full component sets all around (front and back- back having woofer comp.s in deck and tweets in doors) or doing comps upfront and coaxials in rear deck.. still want to run the center stage mid though (will crossover at about 80hz)

Suggestions? (sorry for the long laundry list there)

QS quarts eh... NICE rare speakers and very hard to beat in their day... if at all...

Hifonics ZXI 150.4 bridge the rear channels to the single mid at 4 ohms for 300+ rms... 150 x 2 for the QS...on the front

Yeah, they are some of the newish ones though not the originals sadly that I think you are thinking of.. use to be decent when I first got them but the quality got lost quick...

As for the hifinics-- I know they are fine for wattage but what about their sq??

mine are close to those, but don't seem to have the same spunk anymore. I am going to wait and see once I get a new amp.. may be a different story once that MA audio piece comes out
