Amp terminals threads

Hello realm world! A lot of you remember I hope. Lol. It's been a very long time and I haven't been as affiliated with audio and forums as I like to, but it's still nice to drop by and talk to old time members haha

So I've still got the same Saz-2000D amp and it's still been working fine, but recently the threads for the terminals for the sub just gave up. I was tightening a Wire not very tight and it just stripped. And the threads just fell out as one long piece. Not even as a bunch of little pieces.. What should I do to fix this?! Already talked to sundown and they didn't help much since the amp is discounted...

Drill the hole out and tap new threads for the next size up.

But is it possible that the threads could just give up again like this? Because if this is a common problem with my amp, I can just get another.

If you use the correct hardware and do not over tighten it, then it should be fine.
