Amp Power

I just got an Orion 2500d and I dont have the birthseet for it, but I'm wonderin how could I find out what it actually puts out @ 1 ohm (not what the manufacturer says, but what it would really do). Also for any of you that have the 2500d, if you have a birthsheet or know what it actually puts out @ 1 ohm on yours what is it? Thanks.

well, its my opinion that the metric of simple 1 Power ratings aren't too useful.

measuring with a Speaker gives a small number because not all power goes to work.

measuring with music likewise usually means knowing nothing about the signal.

gains must be set for a sensible level.

peak power really is a valid spec for some amps, particularly amps for midrange speakers that use unregulated power supplies.

Every amp is different, so the birthsheet ratings of someone elses 2500d may be quite different then the ratings for your amp....

better question is if in general they are over or under rated... and from what i have heard they are a lil under-rated...
