The mod staff has been thinkn up a few good additions to ROE and came up with a few.
We have decided to start sending out ROE Newsletters to the 7500+ members that make up ROE. Through our experience with SSA, newsletters help keep people's attention on the forum and helps the forum keep its members active.
Alot of the members either forgot about ROE, or just lost interest in what is ROE, but that will all change when everyone starts recieving period Newsletters stating the updates and current hot threads on boards. This should increase traffic, bring back old members who stopped posting and bring in new members via referrals. All in all a great idea.
We also added two new moderators to the board.
Johnecon2001
Anotherguy
Lets give them a warm welcome to ROE!
***thanks for looking

Normally I'm a quiet chap as far as introductions go.. so this is a little embarrassing for me.
I'm John. I'm 24. I've been doing Caraudio "things" since 2001.
I'm a Technical Engineer for a large church in Scottsdale, AZ. To break that down a little, I'll run concerts, install pro audio sound systems to the tune of over $190k, and deal with all the shenanigans church goers can put you though. I lovingly caress a $65,000 sound board daily. And I can play music during off hours that could make your ears bleed from sonic pressure.
I've toured Spain, Argentina, Mexico and coming up, Croatia.
I'm by no means an SPL guy, but I know how to get you there electrically. By default, I deal with Sound Quality in my job, so I keep the same principle in my Truck.
My new/upcoming build will include the Alpine IVA-W205 w/Blackbird II and PXA-H701 processor. I'll be running a single 15" ICON in a 9^3ft box tuned to 25hz off of a IA 20.1. Door speakers will be the Seas Excel 7" W18NX drivers with ScanSpeak D2904/6000 tweets off of a Monitor1 Mk4.70. All active. All time aligned. etc etc.
That's about it. Feel free to PM me, IM me, Ignore me, whatever.

John is a nice guy, but that other guy is a real %$#^.
I guess i will follow John's lead and tell you a little about myself as we.
My name is Josh and I am 29 and live in VA. I have been into car audio for about 16 years now. I own an audio/ performance shop in Mechanicsville VA. We do just about everything. To give you a better understanding I will quote on of my customers. "You guys are just like Pimp My Ride, but better quality and you don't do all that stupid stuff to cars."
My newest project will be something along the lines of a Suburban with 16 12's or 15's sealed, getting about 550 watts a piece. They will be DC Audio subs and Sundown amps. Not really sure on highs yet, but there will be plenty of them. I'm taking it back old school on this one.
But thats enough rambling. If you guys need anything please hit me up.

Everything is for the better. Sometimes you have to purge old nasty things to preserve the underlying good.
The site is turning a new shiny leaf, if you haven't noticed yet... you may be living in a cave.
Living in a cave eh? Or maybe we saw the things that went down behind the scenes I don't think you were here for that anyways.
"purge old nasty things" as in get rid of people who don't agree with you SSA guys? I saw alot of purging in that case.

This is the exact negative attitude to help bring ROE back down. Keep crying foul and see what good it does for ROE. Or try to start new and postive or helpful topics and see what good it does for ROE.

Yes, because that is exactly what I am after. Please.
Now back on topic, someone brought up the idea of the enclosure designs. Would someone like to take the lead and start throwing together some standard designs for one and 2 drivers from 6.5" up to 18". Then if needed 3 or 4 driver designs could be added.
Cut sheets would be excellent if possible.

Awesome, now we are getting somewhere. If you have a nice design program that can produce clear images it would really help. BBP6 or maybe even the RE box calculator would help.

I'll download BBP6, I used to have it. I'll need it for cut sheets. I prefer WinISD and sketchup, but cut sheets are a pain with that method.
On of the issues is every sub needs a unique box. So we should explain these were all designed for a generic sub. Any sub in particular we should use as the "reference driver". I'm thinking something with a qts of .4 would be good. Thats pretty average in the sub world. Then the same sub can be used for sealed and ported.
