Default ROE forums too dark, "theme" settings?

I frequently visit this site from my laptop, and often outside. With the bright light, and the low contrast gray-on-darker-gray colour scheme it is straining to read the site for any length of time.

A few other forums (no names) have been getting a lot more of my attention lately for the sole fact that they have greater visibility, and thus, usability.

As in the audio world, is there a 'no chrome/carbon fiber/BS' version of this site, perhaps on a lighter background or with brighter text?

I'm dying for a skin change man. So dark here at work and if it were lighter no one would ask me what I'm looking at when they pass by. lol.
