Is that box really gonna be 7 cubes after the port and sub displacement?

Very nice Focal. May I ask; With the internal part of the ports, do they go all the way through that piece of wood that is supporting them? If not, might I suggest routing the edges around each port? It may help. Also, adding 45's to the corners may help as well, but very good Build and it looks good.

yup 100% positive

the pics make it look small and when i took interal shots that was from the midle of the enclosure so there was still a whole other side to it..

and kay they do go all they way thru the wood that is supporting them and they are flush and rounded on both ends...as for 45ing the corners..i didnt want to take up any more room inside..but seriously thanks for the suggestions!

No problem. I also know about all the little **** you need to keep up with. Ring terminals, fuses, fuse holders, grommets, silicone caulking, solder, split loom (atleast for me) and so on and so forth. The big stuff is easy to remember, but it's the little things that keep adding up and, for me atleast, there is something I ALWAYS forget during the process of my build. Goodluck and I really look forward to some videos.

Did you make your final choice on what amp you'll run? I don't think you'll need a ton of a power since you're using a decently sized box. 2500-3000, imo, will be great :-) I think that's what I may do, then just add another 18" later with the same power. Anyways, I'm as excited as you are for your build. May be a little longer til I have all my **** together, but I'm glad things are goin good so far.

oh yea i sure did i got in touch with scott over at FI and remember when i ordered the wrong coil configuration? well i talked to him about it and luckily they were jut about to start on machining the top plate for it to fit the dual 1 ohm and he got my message and fixed it right away at no cost..he put in the dual 2 ohm coil...that way i can wire my xx herc at .7 ohm..should be a perfect match for my BTL..im very ahppy with their customer service
