why wall the biggest SUV on the planet and waste all that space for a 158? That score should have been easy even just doing away with the 3rd row of seats.

are you going to do anything with the door panels, that cut line isn't very clean, I would have at least molded the panels to match the contour.
The rear pannels are not done. They actualy do match the contour. I spent many many hours cuting it in 50 different ways to get it to sit flush against the side. I still have to fasten it to the side. There will be something that will hold it against the side of the vehicle and then it will be completely flush and you wont be able to see past it.

I walled this SUV for a couple of reasons. For one I like the look of a wall behind the first row of seats. It’s not the most "classy" look but it looks very mean in my opinion. It shows that you are "going big" sort of speak IMO. Secondly I would have some trouble fitting 5 amps, a 45 cubic foot enclosure and 10 batteries all in the back behind the second row of seats and still have room left to make it look like it does now. The enclosure takes a ton of room up. It extends beyond the second row of seats. If it was at the second row of seats I might have 24” in the back for everything. That’s not even enough for the batteries. And the last reason is because I want max SPL. It is a daily driver / street beater but it is still engineered for SPL. It’s just engineered at a low frequency so I can play music reasonably.

Basically it’s made for max SPL at like 35 or so hertz. and on music, like most other high SPL street beaters. 158 should not be underestimated. It’s EXTREMELY LOUD and is a difficult number to achieve in a daily driver. After all how many 158+ street beaters exist out there? There are some but not many. Well putting the wall behind the first row of seats may give me the extra edge I need to achieve my goal. And putting it behind the first row of seats gives me more potential for higher numbers then what can be achieved with the wall 4 feet back further..

why didnt you do a sixth or eighth order it would have been more effient and it gets a lot more musical since you have the room
i did like my solos when they were ported but it does not even compare to now now it plays with out a peek from 20hz all the way to 80hz in the ported it would never go that low there is also way more control over the woofers

Those pics are not my pics. I did not take them or post them. I bought the 2007 model Solo X's and I have no pics of them because they have not come yet. They are still in the final stages of production. They will come out soon.

Yeah when you get all ur equipment I want to see a pic of every last bit of it at every angle imaginable. This install is my lil bro's fantasy. And mine too really. I know you may have gone over this already, but why only 11,000 RMS for 4 18" Solos? I know they are overrated and can't take real 5,000 but they can take more than 11000/4 can't they?

the only thing difrferent on the '07's from the '03's is the black cone and the coils.

the baskets on all solo-x's are grey, except mine (the one in the pics), and its powder coated black with a black powder coated pole. my motor is OLD!!!!! mine doesnt have the "locator pin" either, or the magnet boot.

I am going to be doing a full floating amp rack for all five amps.

These hold the 2500.1’s:

These hold the amp mounting plate (shown above) to the main amp rack in the back.

Main rack:

Here is what things look like so far from a distance:

Anyone that knows me knows I go big with lights. So its time for me to start adding some “extra color”. I took a tube from a underbody kit and cut it up into pieces to use behind my floating amp racks.

Final product:

I am going to use part of this sign in the install:

Mounting bracket for the sign:

I had to do some neons under there of course:

Got my highs amp mounted:
Looks messy right now but that will all change once I get everything connected:

Time to work on the alternators a bit more. First I have to cut down the coolant hoses so the alternator does not hit them and bend them over.

This is what the final product looked like.

Time to run the Wire from the alternators and battery up front to the batts in the back. There will be three runs of 0 AWG and two runs of 4 AWG. Here is the wire I will be using:

Lots of wire needs lots of loom:

Wire heading down out of the engine bay under the vehicle:

looking good... but looking at your amp rack makes me wounder why you didnt wall it behind the 2nd row of seats... looks like you have ample room to do so... might be a tight squeeze in the back but imho it would be worth it... each to there own though
