LOL how exactly are those mids/highs wired? do you have any other amps besides the TK's?
Just boggles me how many there are and just those two huge amps!.....

Not doubting you got it under control, I just dont know how you Wire that many door speakers to 2 amps and not go below stable OHM loads or go up so high you 1/16'th the Power ( well i guess 1/16 of 15k is still PLENTY to run 10 sets of mids and highs ) Talk about clean thd% to power....

Any way sick ass build, looks like its in the home stretch............
take a long at the end.....

Lookin good.

One question though, do you think there's going to be any negative effects of the sub and mids sharing the same airspace? I figured that the two speakers playing different frequency ranges would cause some problems. Distortion/over excursion of the mids came into my mind.

im not sure, ill find out though soon enough. If it becomes a problem i can always put those foam "pods" behind each 6.5. Everything is free-air though since the door isnt sealed so im banking on that helpin the situation. 10's will be tuned to like 70 and up and not no outrageous 30hz flexxin coming from them so that should help too. I have my eye on it though for sure...

worked on the driver door today.......everything is X2 in this truck, always gotta be a right and a left side to everything and since its so much damn work, i feel i can post pics of the other side, even though its exactly like the other side

i also managed to get the wiring harness on the panel. Wires cut to length, tweeter wires soldered and heat shrunk. Mid wires go directly into the speaker terminals so no need to solder. Anyway the back of the panel isnt as clean as the front.......its all business back there LOL.

a close up to show the texture of the material.

Now can you see the beauty in the Molex Plugs Soon, i will plug it in and call it done......hassle free

just waiting on the armrests and window button housing.....being dyed to match the graphite grey inserts. Probably next week when i get back from Florida

The panels are sweet but the drivers are gonna beat the **** out of each other. Excellent work but the 10 sealed and baffled into the door as an enclosure would be best for it. But loud it will be!

OK i spent some time during the week running crossover wires from the distribution blocks. Today, i got the armrests back from being dyed to match the suede. I layed 2 layers of Hushmat before i got started. The Passenger door, i am happy to say, is 100% done Here is just some of the weeks "labor".

OH ya, did i mention the seats are out for Leather and Suede? This is the last time you will see them tan. Slowly but surely all the tan and brown inside the hoopty will be gone

that is only HALF of the wiring, from the distribution to the inputs. I still have all the outputs to wire up....

time for some Hush Mat

Ok i used foam inserts to keep the 10's and 6.5's from mixing......the 6.5 foam pads were a pain in the ass and were not lettin me sink the speakers in as deep as i wanted so i took them out. The 10" pod is still there and i think thats all ill really need anyway...
