Default My build 2 15" HDC3 in a trailblazer...lots of pics...

Well I have my system going in this weekend. A lot of saving up, and hard work.

My equipment is

Subs: 2 15" D2 Aluminum HDC3

Sub amp: Crossfire vr4000d

Interior amps: SAX 100.4, and a PPI pc4400.2 ( bridged to run a set of comps in the kicks)

Head Unit: Pioneer 6800 for now

125 sq ft of raamatt
60 sq ft of edead
6 yards of ensolite

2 sets of RSDs comps 6.5"
Pioneer REV coaxials for the rear 6.5"

50' of kicker 1/0
40' knu and stinger 4 gauge
Stinger rca's...bullit, and some other ones

100' knu 12 gauge Speaker wire

Q-logic kick panels

2 Deka Intimidator G31
1 Deka Intimidator G34 for the front

I running the stock 140 amp alt for now

Box is designed and built by me. It is 7.98 cu after dis.
Tuned to 37.77 hz. I had to do sub/port up to keep it below the window, which hopefully it is. Tomorrow I am painting the box. Port will be black, and box will match the interior(tan), and be textured, amp rack will go behind the box
And a bunch iof install ****

haha naahhh man, Hammer was used to close the box together. The boards wedged in perfectly, and they needed alittle extra bammm..so I got out the mallet, and hammer of course

...fit like a glove

I guess the nails will work until the glue dries. From my expierence with MDF it is better to pre-drill if you are using screws, it splits easy.

Looks good so far, keep the pics coming

nice nice, i just put a similar sized box for my blazer.

How does it sound? I have mine tuned to 30Hz, but the port is removable so I might try 35-37Hz tonight and see if I like it better.

I haven't got it running yet, but hopefully by sunday I can hear it...and trailblazers peak around 38hz, but I'm not sure about blazer. If you swap that port it should be louder to your ear for sure

ohh hey man, whats happenin?

and yes I did get it off, harder than I thought, now I'm just trying to figure out how in the hell I am goin to Wire my Speaker wire in the doors. Theres a damn wire harness, and there isn't a normal hole to run through. I don't really want to drill any holes. Anyone with know what I could do?

nice, what you planning on running? vehicle?

and have I mentioned how much I hate deadening...I have the doors pretty much done. I will finish the deadening on the floor and roof tomorrow, and start running the wire. I hope it all goes smoothly. 150 or bust, should be close
