Quick update:

Purchased two more PPI900.4's. They are on back-order atm but should be shipped out beginning of March here. To finish off my new front stage Power scheme. Still need to get the Jordan but should have it ordered by Thursday.

It will be fun trying to plan out the layout for the amps but I'm thinking having the two PPI's and the BRZ in the rear and find a location up in the cabin for my center channel amp.

LOL

I sent an email via the email function here. I will see if I can pull it up again and PM you.

It basically is in reference to the aero port.

UPDATE:

Just ordered the Jordan and really excited to see this driver.

Update: Non Car audio

I've always wanted to get this and decided to bit the bullet and got one.

FlashPro Civic Si

For those who have a Honda may know what I'm talking about.

The one and only tuner a Honda owner should ever own.

Main reason for getting this:

1) Rev hang (poor ECU program causes rev's to hang 1-2 sec after taking foot off gas).
2) Lower crossover RPM
3) Increased Rev limit

etc, etc...

Eventually I will get further tuning done by an expert to gain even more (ya, even more out of a stock setup). Plus I can have two tunes stored and would like to tune to 87 octane as High test sucks (cost wise).

Best thing is this item isn't a wear and tare type item. I can sell it for a loss of $5 if I want

Update: (will get pics uploaded when I take them, plan to later tonight)

Had a couple things come in the past few days.

First off 1 out of 3 PPI's came in this past Friday:

Closest thing I could find to reference the size was two CD's

1/0 to 4 gauge reducer:

Also the Jorden came in Yesterday:

Also, so far, I have scheduled three days of work time on my trunk in a couple weeks and its redesign. Look forward to that (well kinda, going to be a couple 12+ hour days depending on what we run into. Maybe even an all nighter, don't know.

To Do List:

Trunk
1) Tare out, and strip everything
2) Carpet entire trunk bottom
3) Form cutout of amp rack with foam board
4) Cut out amp rack
5) Secure rack via stock bolt hole
6) Layout distro blocks, amps, power/ground, speaker wire, Relay for 12V and 5V power supply
7) Secure all above down and label all wires/items
8) Create False floor, Hatch for MS8, Fan locations and mount
9) If enough carpet, carpet false floor
10) Wire up fans, MS8
11) Securely attach Box to false floor
12) Wire everything up

Test

Interior
1) Tare out all seats including rear, Tare out center counsel and carpeting
2) Determine location for Center Channel amp and run necessary wiring, RCA's, etc
3) Re-wire courtesy lighting adding relay to door switches to fix turn on issue
4) Replace carpeting
5) Run wire for center channel speakers to connection location
6) Replace center counsel
7) Replace seats and correct rear courtesy lights if needed

I think that's it.

Also wanted to do a non audio update:

I will in a few months (still in pre-order phase) be getting Hybrid Racing 3.5" CAI for my car.

8th Gen Cold Air Intake by Hybrid Racing (K-Series 06-11 Civic Si) | Hybrid Racing

Will have to relocate the battery to the rear as the the pipe goes right where the battery is located. No biggie. Wiring is already in place.

Built in bypass valve to prevent hydro-locking. Will have to drive through 2'+ of water for it to fail. Specifically designed (years of R&D went into it) for my car and can and has shown to be one of the best intakes to get for my car. Shows great gains over stock with a good MAP tune using flashpro. I will be getting a tune from a fellow 8th member (VitViper).

I'd hope. Going by the dyno numbers I'm looking from 10-14hp and around 8 ft. lbs torque.

Of course that's dependent and with a proper tune I should see some decent gains.

I was gonna say, that's high gains on a small disp engine. A tune will gain you that though.

There actually is a good bit on there that if need be can be held off if time doesn't permit it. Such as the false floor, interior work (amps etc)

I will make sure I bring a lot of Dew as well.

It'll be a hell of a weekend though.

Those gains were from a Flashpro CAI intake MAP base tune and adjusted fuel trims. There is so much more that could be adjusted so I expect even higher numbers (day, temp, weather, vehicle dependent) then what is shown. Around 3-4 hp could probably be squeezed out of it.

One fellow posted up IAT's and was right on with stock (right around ambient air temp)

I like the look of those Jordans
That's a lot of HP gain, seems a little optimistic. But I'm not a honda guy.
Anyways I'm liking how this build is coming along.

Is a speaker I have similar to the Jordan you have. Tho mines titanium, not aluminum like the one at PE.

Well that HP gain is a gain from the stock tune (which sucks). And peak power. Most cases it ranges throughout the power band. So really when you look at the projected gains from adding the intake/FP/Tune its actually quite achievable.

LOL thanks. I will like the build once everything is done

In a couple weeks its going to suck a lot. Expect a lot of pics btw

I'll make it known here and now.

I hate Ricer's who give the Civic a bad name. Talk to anyone I know. They deserve to to abandoned on a deserted island and release a group of deranged psycho cannibals and let them have fun.

Ya the Civic is the poster child for Ricers as its a cheap car to get and (depending on year) cheap mods as well. There is a massive aftermarket market out there for the Civic.

I'm not going to go gun ho with performance mods (really intake and tune is all I will do) as its not really me. The only thing I may do is an exhuast system (seeing I improved the breathing on the intake end, might gain a bit on the exhaust) but it won't be elaborate and not loud (I hate loud exhausts). Unless its a proper V8, then I like

Update:

Rest of the amps have come in and a crap ton of other things (new rca's, power/ground wire, etc)

Won't be any pics in this update but tomorrow starts a very long weekend working on the car. I will try to update every night with that days progress.

Couple things I still need to grab:

Some go-go juice

LOL

Just a couple more weeks of this DSL crap. Download and upload speed is awful.

Cable finally got out my way.

Jumbled mess of wire. A good 90% of this is trash, doing a complete re-wire (accept power and ground). As long as I have enough wire I will re-route the power wire on the left hand side of the trunk and bring it in from the rear.

Give you a better idea what I'm talking about. Run along this edge and brought around. IMO is the best way the wire won't interfere with the false floor.

RCA will be run in from this side and run similar to the power wire and wired into the MS8.

Removing the rear seats to gain access to the wire run.

I've actually have a trunk and its clean:

Complete Sex:

Getting the carpet put in. Earlier I posted the type of adhesive I'm using. Amazing stuff:

Nice clean glue lines, goes on smooth, and very strong bond:

Carpeting continued:

Finished product. Looks really great:

All in all we made great progress yesterday. The plan for today is to build the amp rack, false floor, mount all (amps, distro's, power supply, etc), run new RCA, power wire, etc... Very busy day ahead

Now its time for bed lol
