Is that going in the trunk or are you taking out the rear seats?

Default Re: 2006 Mustang Build Log

You are correct, it's replacing the back seat (which is not useable in the Car anyway). Subs will be three DC Level 3 10's powered by three Rockford Fosgate R1200-1D's with an R400-4D for mids and highs. Enclosure will be 3 cu ft net, tuned to 32Hz. All fiberglass and painted black to match the car. I did toy with the idea of overlaying everything with carbon fiber, but I settled on paint. I'll have some pictures of it framed up next week to give you a better idea of the layout!

Figured as much. A shame the 400 isn't quite the same dimensions as the 1200's. I like things to look even so would probably do a false panel to make them all look the same.

The amps are mounted right behind the front seats, nobody will see them unless the seats are pulled forward. I like symmetry in designs, but I figured there's no sense complicating something that won't be seen.

I'd only do the 3 1200s in the glass, maybe tucking the 400 behind or elsewhere. I really think it would like farrr better being symmetrical.

Well, you get your way haha had some issues getting it framed with the three 10s and keeping airspace the same. We've changed to two 12" level 3s, so the amp rack now will have two 1200s and two 400s.

All the work is being done by TC Customz at TC Customs Makes Fiberglass Subwoofer Speaker Box Enclosures

I've had the guy do stuff for me before and he does really nice work and is really fair on price.

Just a disclaimer that the work is not mine... And free advertising for him as well I guess lol

Default Re: 2006 Mustang Build Log

I'll be posting more as they come in, and a lot more once the amp rack and enclosure are done and I'm wiring it all up. Plus some of the subs once they arrive, and maybe some of just the Car in general.

As for the trunk, it won't be 100% empty, I have an XS Power 3000 in the spare tire well and I'll have my two nitrous bottles back there as well. But for the most part, I need space to hold detailing supplies, chairs, and everything else when I go to shows.

That's all it is now, I have an Audi A4 that I drive daily.

And yes, the Audi has a small system lol (Fi X 10 with carbon cap off an RF R750-1D and all Knu wiring). It also has an APR Carbonio intake, HFC, BSH catch can PCV delete, R8 coils and plugs, and the APR stage 2 tune. So it pulls hard, it peaks right around 20psi of boost.

Here are some more photos of the car. Some engine shots, some exterior, some from shows...

And one of it sitting next to the Audi after they were both cleaned up.

And here's an older shot of the components in the kick panels

Not a problem, I'm a big Ford guy, but I have a lot of respect for the others. My buddy has a ProCharged Challenger that I would kill to have haha and I'm starting to get in to the Audi and Euro scene more and more, so I can see where people wouldn't like how basic a Mustang really is. A solid rear axle is pretty old-school lol.

Also, hoping to have more photos of the enclosure and amp rack posted tonight!
