no I have had no dimming of lights even during high bass transeints ,but this sales guy /installer was trying to get me to buy nother 24000 HCA kenitic battery as it stands now I am running 1 optima group 31 m 1125 amp battery under the hood and one kenitic hac 200 ampbattery in rear hatch space but the sales guy was trying to tellme to hit my maximum potential I needed one more hca 240 amp battery and just wondering if I really did and @ one tine we did check the voltage of the main battery lead under hod and @ peak I was down to 14.7 volts
Your best bet will probably be to run about 5+ farads of boost. Adding another battery only puts more strain on your alternator. If you were dropping below 14.3 volts, i would add another alternator and then run an additional battery. Your alt amps to battery amps ratio should be at least 1:5 or 20% or greater at idle.
