Okay! Okay! I know there have been countless posts on this subject... and yes... I have been lurking for forever... but I'm to the point where I'm setting up audio in my 300zx... Looking for good companies that you guys can recommend to help me out. I don't have a budget... I'll save up for whatever... but I'm going with 2 Treo SSX 12" in the trunk with a Zapco C2k 9.0 pushing each woofer... Thinking of using a Zapco C2k 4.0 ([email protected] [email protected]) to push the components... but I'm having hella trouble picking which ones I should go with... Honestly I'm thinking of going with a 3-component set up front and a 2-component rear fill but it's all open to ALL suggestions... Some of the ones I was looking at are Morel, Boston Acoustics, Focal, Dynaudio, Diamond, MB Quart, Rainbow, CDT, and Pyle (kidding) - Please help with this one lol... it's stumping me and where I live I can't listen to any of these! (small town - BFE) I'm still even open to a good 2-component up front and a single Speaker set rear fill... it just has to be good enough to be heard with the bass in that car. Direct me oh gurus of Car audio!

screw rear fill. i have always been someone who liked speakers all the way around. but after actually paying attention to setups. specially in small cars. rear fill makes almost no difference in loudness. it just adds a lil bass in factory systems. it also ussually sounds cleaners just up front. go ahead and try it fade from front to rear. and this upset me to find out cause like an ass i bought two nice sets of comps. now i have to try and fit them all up front. when i should have just bought one raelly nice set and it would have made things easier.

Allright... based upon responses so far I'm looking at Focal or Boston Acoustics... Tell me what you think...
Either:

2 Focal 165 K2P (K2 Power Section)
http://www.focal-america.com/Product...r/k2power.html

OR

Boston Acoustics Pro 60 (Front Fill)
http://www.bostonacoustics.com/car/c...product_id=296
with Boston Acoustics Z6 (Rear Fill)
http://www.bostonacoustics.com/car/c...product_id=216

Let me know what you guys think and if those will be enough to overcome the bass... It's awesome to jam but if you just can't hear the freakin words then it's no fun. Thank you in advance =P

I heard the Z6's on 400wrms. And to be honest, they sounded like SHIIIIIT for what they are. I vote no for Z6's but its your choice. Just giving my perosnal experience with them. They were fully sealed in doors that were dampened to hell. This was at an audio shop BTW. The Pioneer comps in the owners other car sounded better. The midbass on the Z6's was amazing, but that was about it. Thats what I found at least.

i really cant believe that, but i havent heard the Z6 in person

The pro's are awesome, BA is amazing, i run them in my house and car, and love the smooth sound of them, for rear fill why not look into SL65 or SX65, you wont be disappointed with the Boston Acoustics, honestly ive heard the focals and they were brighter, too bright for my ears, these things can take as much power as you can feed them, i am giving mine 75 watts RMS they are rated at 35, they sound incredible and take it all day long
