Default 6.5 components

i'm looking for some cheaper 6.5's

I was looking at cdt's classic line, namely the cl-61. You can pick 4 different tweeeters.. 3/4 or 1" and silk or titanium. I'm leaning towards the silk, just not sure if its worth 20 bucks to get the 1" tweeter over the .75. plus cdt's stuff is free shipping and Speaker Wire on woofersetc

Of course i'm not set on anything, otherwise i wouldn't have posted this

They'll be ran active by my 880prs off of a four channel amp that does [email protected](any input on the amp would help too, looking at a kx350.4 refurb currently)

So any other suggestions on 6.5s @ or below 150 shipped

i'm liking those kickers.

The pg's are questionable, as there is no listing of tweeter size or material on there website. The re's only have a 60 watt rms...so thats a little iffy..

Yes the kickers are realy nice. There nothing but rave reviews on the rsd65cs over on ca.com. They say they have tons of midbass and probally the best budget componet set out there (so they say). I actualy just purchased a set the other day for a friend to run active in his civic. Also the re re will easly take double there rated rms.

If your plan is to go active.. why are you buying a premade component setup?
Go balls to the walls and pick out your own mids and tweets.

any suggestions? I really don't know jack so i'd prefer to go with a proven and/or premated combo.

Those PG speakers will rock. I have a set and yes the mid bass is far better than a lot of others out there. The tweet is 1" made out of silk I believe, but it is a soft dome tweet. The xover is the reason it only takes 60 wrms. It will actually take twice that w/o a sweat as long as it's clean power. Yes they ARE the best budget/drop in speaker money can get right now.

Last months car audio mag had a review of the pg rsd components. They said it was one of the best budget comps they have ever tested

Default Cheap 6.5 Components

So where are these cheap 6.5's? I mean I know probably on ebay but are these prices set in stone (like ebay stores) also do anyone know if i can get some 6.5 coaxials. I plan on having the following front doors 6.5 components, back dash 6.5 coaxials, and trunk 2 12" subs.
