You're trying to say that you won't lose your hearing because, even though it's rediculously loud, you know what you're doing?! That makes no sense!
I'm not trying to argue. Ok, maybe I am

Yes. Now gtfo. You can talk to several well known people on hear that have horrifically loud systems and perfect hearing, i.e; Meade and assman. Hearing loss is mostly caused by distortion, or your 10" sub that flexes your dash...

Distortion? LOL, sure Caps.....
From the web:
Quote:
any sounds (acoustic energies) delivered with equal intensity, regardless of their source, are equally dangerous.
http://www.medicinenet.com/noise_ind...on/article.htm
It's kind of a common theme when you google "noise-induced hearing loss".

150db is 150db, clean or distorted. Anything over 85db can damage hearing through repeated and/or prolonged exposure.

And how do you know that assman and Meade still have perfect hearing? Hearing damage, from what I've read online and in bio classes, depends on the individual. But I bet there is some damage

Anyway, back on topic: how do those mega tweets sound?

they both have to have regular hearing tests for the jobs, and distortion is MUCH worse than a clean signal, same concept as why 150 db at a higher hz is more painful than at a lower hz

Yeah, whenever I am in somebodys Car and they crank their stock system it hurts my right ear a little bit but when I turn mine on in my truck they don't hurt my hears one bit.(300w running to tweets, 300w running to mids but I turned the tweets down a bit)

Well, it isn't really a pain just a static type sound inside my ear.

That is hearing loss. Any ringing or pain is normally associated with you never being able to hear that us again. And I anyone doesn't believe me try it with tweeters. Find someone with a decent set, listen to them, them swap them out to some boss bullet tweeters and see if all with equal intensity a the same...

Prolonged listening to sound over 85db will cause hearing damage, and 130db can cause profound deafness in a matter of minutes.

I'm gonna make a vid of my dash moving (yes, 1x 10" and 420watts) in a little, and post it here so you guys see it for yourselves. I had the whole interior moving to 'Put On' slowed earlier today.
