yeah, i you have the tools and the craftsmanship, Build your own. a lot of the prefab enclosure are built to generic specs so it will work with a wide variety of applications. a custom box is built to the specs of your sub. sometimes prefab enclosures use poor quality materials to save money. by building it yourself, you choose the quality of the materials. however, qlogic is a pretty good brand. my very first system consisted of qlogic enclosures.
