Default Which is better.

Which would hit harder? I have a 12 RE SX. It would be tuned to 35HZ. What is the real difference in the output of these boxes and why?

they both are about the same...instead of bending the port like an L, you just snaked it around. You might get faster response if its L shaped, because the air will flow through the port with less restriction and less bends. But if you made the ports same cross area and length, i doubt you will see a very big difference, if any. I would do the L style tho, thats how I always Build them..

I have the box built already. The guy built it like an L. But I wasn't sure which was better. thanks

Yes, the L-shape would definitely be less restrictive.

However, I built my enclosure with the snaking port because I didn't have much room to work with and because of the size of the enclosure and the lower tuning I went with, the port needed to be long.

I don't know how different each port would sound, but I'm pretty satisfied with the output I'm getting, even with the snaking port.

x3 on a. less turbulence is definitely a lot better!
