Default Please help im in the progress now!!!!

ok im building the box as we speak box is 40x24x22 im putting all 4 12s on one side and need to put the port on the back facing the rear wanting it tuned to 30hz help me out what do my deminsions need to be for the port? thanks once i get info i can resume building help me out guys!!

Edit port and all subs cant fit on 1 side so like i said ill need port to be on the other side subs are facing up....

on the second pic u see the side which is where ill be putting my 4 12's

now on the bottom which u cant see right now im gonna have to cut another board where the port is gonna go this is where i need help that board will be 40 long and 22 1/2 i believe now what kind of port do i need and what deminsions.... please help lol im goin nutz to get this done!!! also i want to tune it to 30hz

well when i made it previously

i made the port 18x6. and 29 long.

port pieces would be 1" 2 1/4" and 9 1/4"

19.5x 14.25
19.5x 9.25

those are the just top pieces, you can figure out the sides.

that confuses me so ur saying that the port needs to be 29 inches across and 18 inches back and 6 inches high? if so i got it and i really appricaite it....

NO. why does everyone think long means width.

18" WIDE 6" HIGH.

ummm not to bug u to much more but those are both sizes of boards ill need or is one of those the size of the opening on the outside im more of a picture person cause im very stupid when it comes to understanding just numbers.... and which one is height, length, width?

yes i was i know ive talked alot in this thread but i had a plan for it all then i found out it wouldnt work my calculations werent correct this first time thats why i need help to fix my problem..... i appologize im just not the brightest person

Not your fault....but make sure you are Positive with what you're doing. The box building isn't the hard part, it's the planning and sizing over everything. You don't want to make the box and then find out the port was cut an inch too wide....for me I wouldn't be able to live with any mistakes.

same with me and me not understanding what people are saying is killing me i wanna make sure i get it right but im not a good telling person more visual.... im debating on just making it sealed.... i really want ported but i need to make sure i get everything correct and make sure i understand before i do it

do u need the 14.5 and the 9.25 piece? or is that just like a brace? wouldnt side pieces be 6x9.25 and the top piece be the 19.5x9.25
