hey im getting an alpine type r 12in soon and ive been reading around about how the box plays a big part in how loud it will be...is there a website i could go to or something to tell me how to Build a nice one? or do you guys have any suggestions?

Hey- i was thinking about purchasing this box

Q-Logic QLH-1.7512SS

its like $104 and it totals at $114.56 or something with shipping

would this work good? im new at all this lol

Tha box would work, but you might not get the sound your looking for. If you don't think you could build one on your own, check for quotes at your local car audio shop. They could accurately tune your enclosure and build it to the specs of your sub. For a single woofer enclosure, your looking at 150 or less--price depends on whether it's ported or sealed.

It was a guess. I'm willing to bet there is some shop out there that would charge that much for an enclosure, just to rip the customer off.

Actually, my comment implied the opposite ... they usually charge a lot more than $150 for a custom ported enclosure :P

when i was thinking about getting a 15" avalanche i went to al n eds to see how much a box would be...250 bucks...i was like...it costs like 30 bucks in equipment and you charge that much for labor....i laughed...then i punched him the face...not really..
