So, last night I got to thinking: In my current setup I am seeing a 1.7 ohm box rise at my one amp giving me a combined resistance of 2.7 ohms across 4 drivers at a given frequency. I am planning to add a second amp to the mix.
Question is this: If I go from one circuit into two circuits will I essentially be dividing the total box rise in two?
Reason I bring this up is because when adding a second amp I will be running each amp at a nominal 2 ohm load. But if the box rise is split (1.7/2= 0.85) than each amp will see a 2.85 ohm load at that same frequency. Which of course will still be almost double the Power of one amp even though I running double the nominal load.
