Default aeroported box for my new Z.V3 12s
Hey guys, i just wanna start here with some kinna idea of what i need or what im going to be working with. The thing it i am going to make or have made my first custom box, and what information i am looking for is, I want the box to be about 4.25 cubic ft. total and also want to use aeroports, and have tuning at 32hz. now would i need roughley 2 4in aeros? 6in ports, oe mabye 1 8in aero? anything you guys could help me with would appreciated i really know notta bout these mathmatics of this stuff. Thanks guys

Is this what you PM'd me about?

Assuming 4.25 net

(2) 4" ports would be 11.5" each long and have a 1:5.91 ratio (to small)

(1) 6" port would be 13" long and have a 1:6.65 ratio (to small)

(1) 8" port would be 25" long and has a 1:11.82 ratio. This is a good size if you can fit 25" in the box

(2) 6" ports would be 28.5" each and has a 1:13.3 ratio. This is slightly better than the 8" and would have reduced port noise but at the cost of a longer port. May not be possible to fit it.

(4) 4" ports each 25 in long 1:11.82 ratio. This is basically the same as the single 8" port

and yeah kin thats what i wanted also was gonna ask if bananna plugs for my box if they strictley for looks or what

I went ahead and bought some 8ga karma from knu for mine. It looks super fancy, and is nice stuff. The only thing is the jacket is HUGE

also need a box design all info i have so far wantaeroported 32hz tuning and going in trunk with no back seat if someone can help ill give exact max dimensions i have ty.

Small world we live in, I stay in Clawson. (75 and Rochester rd) Im working on my first aeroport box too. I already bought the ports and should have it built this next weekend. When you buy the ports off of parts express they come with a sheet of paper that has really detailed instructions on how to tune them.

ok the measurments i got are 34" wide 16" high 20" deep. trunk is bigger but i need amp battery ext. to fit in .also want to make sure i can fit the box in. can we get a 4.5cf before displacement ext. box tuned to 32hz with aeroports in those dimensions? thanks

i think that makes over 5cf if you think that would be better than 4.5 thats fine too.
