I'm building a box for my 2 Sundown x12 D4 ohm 15h x 36w x 25d =6.33cuft after sub & 2 4" ports, it will be some where around 5.85 cuft maybe a little smaller. I can fit a 6" port with out flare ends. What do you guys think, two 4" with flare ends or one 6" with out flare.
I'm going for 28hz. Should have the subs in today. Still waiting on the BC3500D from Crescendo.
Port area is a direct relation between cone area and air displacement.say two t welves with 20 mm xmax need a single 6 inch port than two t welves with 40mm xmax will displace twice the amount of air than it will need roughly twice the port area. Now there are exceptions but this is a god starting point.

What is it you are asking us to do? The calculated tuning is off, that is the only thing I see without running numbers off the 3D model. You only have 28.75" of port length. What else are you asking?

Will do. Quick question...will it make a difference if the port is in between the 2 sub's? Or right of the sub's like I have it now. I like the look of the port in between.
Well, here the box...I was going to try to make the port flare but did have time. Also I ended up getting the SAZ-3500D over the Crescendo BC3500D cause it was going to be another 2 weeks to get the amp.
Also got this battery (Sears.com)... [email protected] they drop the price again need to go back and get's soom money back. This will be the sec time.

Well got the sub's and amp in...[email protected] these sub's get low and loud. I'll try and get a video up this weekend. Thank you guy's for the pointer's. Still need to put the battery in. My 5 yrs old redtop is holding up ok
Why such a low tuning ? you'll loose output on most bass notes.
I'd rather tune my boxes to 32 Hz. It still gives me plenty lows, and everything else. I must say that I don't listen to slowed tracks regularly. some decaf from time to time. so 32 Hz is nice enough for me.
Good choice on sub and on port. 2 4" port have less surface than 1 6" : so you made the best choice, but I'm sure it's still not enough overall, but Enough to please you !!!

I tune low cause I love the deeeeep bass, my TC-Sound 3000 (just got replace with the x 12s) that I had since 2006 was tune to 25hz, 27hz and 28hz. That sub play what ever I put on it. It was low and loud.
As for the sec part of the port...I didn't go with 2-4" or 1-6", I went with 1-8" port.
