2 Sundown |Audio SA-12's ported box.?

I have a 2008 4 doors Kia Rio. I just ordered two SA-12's and im planning to use these measures to make a box that will go in my trunk. I got this off a google search.

do you guys think I should go ahead and Build this box? I plan on getting a 2000 watts amp for it.

So here is a suggestion to build (checking dimensions first) or as reference for doing your own:



Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 33 Hz
Vb = 4 ft^3

External Height = 16.5 in
External Width = 34 in
External Depth = 21 in

Port Width = 3 3/4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2x Front = 15 1/8 x 15
Back = 34 x 15

Left & Right Sides: 19 1/2 x 15

Top & Bottom = 34 x 21

Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts:

2 x Front to Back = 17 5/8 x 15
2 x Extension = 4 5/16 x 15



Assembly guide (generic dimensions): 'I cant upload the pic but its a front middle slotted port.



- The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port, if you want that let me know.

- All trunk boxes built outside the Car need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.

- The port needs 3 3/4" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.

- Setting your amp's subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.

Just like he said its a generic enclosure what amp exactly you got coming?...and is your electrical system up to par?

what does he mean by generic enclosure? if I could make it smaller id like that but.. not sure I can, likem what if I make the box 1"inch shorter is that gonna throw everything out of whack?.

im probly gonna grab the Soundqubed Q1-2200d and ill need to buy an extra bat. to put in the back for now meanwhile I get enough to get an H.O alt. but I do have a optima red top at the front and 0 gauge Wire going to the back and big 3 done.
