So I need help with a box design for my car.(Yes in the trunk) I'll post trunk demsions later today, but the box is for my 3 12's. Roughly how many cubes should I be looking at? I want it around 32-34hz.

15 sq inches per cube is usually a good point i believe unless your going with areo ports
i'm sure one of the wise one can chime in with some good recommendations
good luck on your build

If I have-to/can do an exteranl port, I think im willing to cut a hole threw the back seat where the arm rest is. Would REALLY like to avoid it tho. I have an accord so its a pretty decent trunk.

Aeroports like 8 to 12 square inches of port per cube...and yea 4.5 to 5.25 net

For 31.5 w, 14 H, and 34 D, box calculator came up with 7.0 net. And thats my maxx demensions.. So I'm guessing around 5.5-6 cubes. I could do an internal port and be good?

Isn't sealed better at reproducing the whole frequency range but it's just not as loud?
Sealed is ment for SQ and yes it does reproduce a lot wider range of sound...but a lot of people don't know that 25 to 0hz sealed is louder and has more output....(unless you port to 10hz)...so don't count sealed out it just takes more cone area and motor force to get louder

5.5 to 6 cube tuned 28 to 32hz.and 15 square inches of port per cube minimum...would perform well ...plan on overpowering them?....5.5 to 5.75....if not them 6 cube

6 cubes it is then. They will be underpowered for a while until I get my electrical up. They're going on my sundown. And idk how to do the port .-. Can anybody make me a design? Or help me with demensions for everything?

C'mon lkwb you knew everything that you have been told on this thread already...
You're kinda right. Just asking for other opionions and thougts as far as size. I could draw up a diagram myself from the box calculator, I guess I just need help with the port and the best size. I can't download wini sd on my school laptop so I can't see which would be best for me.

In the port calculator, did 7x8 inches, 6.2 cubes, 32hz, and it came up with 17.5 inches for the length. Also did 7x7 inches and it came to 15in for length. Am I on the right track so far?

15 per cube x 6 cubes = 90 square inch port
7x8 is only 56 square inches so the port needs to be bigger i believe
i think your are looking at something around 7 x 13 or a 9x10

before i even atempt to design you a box are those measurements going to slide in the trunk opening or are they going to be built in the car?

Slide in the trunk. The height I gave you is not the very top of the trunk. The top is like 16 or 17 inches I believe. So it should fit fine. I'm trying to have the twoards the trunk lid, and the subs firing up. Which I why I tried to make enough space for the subs.

best i could do....only other option is for you to do a single huge aero to save space but here is a slot port box designed to specs...couldnt quite get to 1.75 per woofer but its close should perform better with more power
had to use that extra height cuz the airspace was to small for port

Not always a bad thing to be a touch smaller will help when listening to rock or metal or higher notes and as u said will help with cone controller as well.t

How big of an aero port? I really hate cutting circles. Cutting holes for subs is okay since the sub covers up the circle. lol
